You may think that getting featured on Google Maps or appearing at the top of the search lists is a complicated and challenging task. But it only takes one little change to appear near the top of the lists. Photos!
Adding photos to Google Maps is one way to shape the first impression your customers see when they search for your location specifically or simply a place to stop.
Google Maps functions by showing photos associated with an address, and unless other photos have been added, it is typically the Google Street View. Relying on Google Street View images is not a strong approach to this. The images can be outdated or unflattering to your building. By adding photos that you select, you can control the first impression someone had of your business when using Google Maps.
Adding photos is an easy and free marketing tool. It can show customers exactly what you offer, it gives them a feel for your business, and it shows that exactly what your building looks like so it’s easy to locate. Interestingly, the photos with the most views are often those of restrooms. If photos of restrooms photos aren’t available, shots of food are typically the most viewed pictures.
