How do I get started?

Getting started is easy! Simply call is at 309-724-8395 and select Option 2 to speak with our sales team. We have helped hundreds of customers and can help to answer any questions you have regarding video gaming.

How much will this cost me?

There is a $100 fee for submitting an application to the IGB. There is an estimated $55 finger printing fee for each person disclosed on the IGB application. Once your application has been approved by the IGB, there is a $100 fee to obtain your license. Starting one year after you acquire your license, there is an annual fee of $100 to maintain your license.  Additionally, some municipalities may charge additional fees for VGTs. When should I get fingerprinted?

You should get fingerprinted immediately after submitting your Video Gaming Application by one of the three approved vendors. Your fingerprints may be discarded if the IGB receives your fingerprint response but does not have the corresponding application.

Why should I add video gaming to my establishment?

How long does it take to get licensed by the IGB?

Each Video Gaming Application is unique so timelines can vary. However, ME Gaming typically sees their accounts licensed within 90 days of submitting their application. Get your copy of our Licensing Guide here.

How long does it take me to get VGTs in my establishment?

Once your application has been approved by the IGB and your license fee has been paid, ME Gaming will schedule to install VGTs at your establishment. Requests are submitted to the State to schedule a “turn on”. This appointment is typically granted within 14 days of the request. This appointment date is set by regulatory protocol and outside the terminal operator’s control. On the day of the “turn on” (also known as “go live”) appointment, the machines will be ready to play.

How much space do I need?

You will need space for the gaming terminals, chairs and a payout device at a minimum. There are many ways to place the devices to maximize the space. We would be happy to visit your establishment and speak with you about your location needs. Additionally, our design team can create a 3D rendering of your space with the games added in so you can get a sense of what the finished product will look like. How will this affect my current customers?

Your current customer will love the new, high-tech additions to your establishment. It will provide even more ways to stay entertained and hang out all day.

Can one terminal operator offer me more than others financially?

No. All terminal operators and establishments must comply with the Video Gaming Act. As of July 2020, 34% goes to the state and local taxes, 0.8513% goes toward a state communication fee, 32.57435% will go to you, and remaining 32.57435% will go to the terminal operator. Furthermore, it is a direct violation of the inducement policy to accept anything of value in exchange for signing with a terminal operator. You can read the Video Gaming Act HERE.

What happens if one of my machines is not working properly?

Although ME Gaming does preventative maintenance, machines may experience issues. With locations and technicians throughout the state, one phone call will dispatch a technician to resolve any problems. If one of your VGTs is not working properly, please contact our Service Department at 309-724-8395.

What do I need to do to renew my license?

Your establishment will receive an email, sent to the address provided in its application, setting forth what needs to be done in order to request renewal of a license. All information in the application needs to be current, including but not limited to: ownership interest, liquor license numbers and expiration dates, email addresses, home addresses and telephone numbers. Please do not send payment for the renewal of your license until you receive your renewal email.

Can local jurisdictions restrict the use of video gaming terminals?

Yes. Municipalities and counties can prohibit video gaming terminals within their jurisdiction by passing an ordinance or through successful passage of a voter referendum.

How many video gaming terminals will be allowed at each site?

Up to six machines may be places at each licensed establishment, if allowed by the municipality. Licensed Large Truck Stops can have up to ten machines.
